During a trip to Cuba, I was exploring my ideas of martialism related to living and daily life. I arranged to meet with the artist Mayan, who had a unique artistic journey that I was grateful to learn from. The country was bursting with life and energy, where I started to create these pieces, and the people’s enthusiasm continued to inspire me to draw when I got back home.
As I immersed myself in the vibrant culture and spirited atmosphere of Cuba, I found my artistic perspective expanding. Mayan's guidance and insight shed light on the profound connections between martialism and everyday existence, encouraging me to delve deeper into the complexities of human experience.
The pulsating rhythms of Cuban music, the graceful movements of dance, and the resilience of the Cuban people became the fuel for my artistic expression. I channeled the essence of this vivacious energy into my drawings, infusing them with a sense of vitality and spirit.
Each stroke of my pencil became a reflection of the vibrant streets, the passionate conversations, and the indomitable spirit of the Cuban people. The interplay of light and shadow in my drawings captured the dynamic nature of martialism, intertwining with the essence of everyday life.
